5. Eligibility Criteria for AACCC Counselling 2026–27
▸ 5.1 For UG Courses (BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMS / B.Pharm Ayurveda)
Must have qualified NEET UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). No other exam is accepted.
Passed Class 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as compulsory subjects.
Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB — for General / EWS / OBC-NCL category.
Minimum 40% aggregate marks in PCB — for SC / ST category.
Minimum 45% aggregate marks in PCB — for PwBD (General) category.
Age: Minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December 2026 (i.e., born on or before December 31, 2009).

Qualifying NEET UG 2026 conducted by NTA is mandatory for admission to all undergraduate AYUSH courses — BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, and B.Pharm (Ayurveda) — through AACCC. No alternative entrance exam is accepted.
Q. When is NEET UG 2026? When will AACCC 2026 counselling start?A. NEET UG 2026 is officially scheduled on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM in offline / pen-paper mode. Results are expected in June 2026. AACCC 2026–27 counselling is projected to begin in August 2026, approximately 6–8 weeks after NEET UG 2026 results are declared. The exact dates will be published by AACCC on aaccc.gov.in.

For top national institutes like NIA Jaipur, AIIA Delhi, or ITRA Jamnagar, a score of 500–560+ (AIR within 18,000–25,000) is typically required in Round 1.
Q. Is upgradation allowed in AACCC counselling?A. Yes. Upgradation is allowed from Round 1 to Round 2 — you can leave a Round 1 allotment in favor of a better Round 2 seat. However, joining a seat in Round 3 (Mop-Up) is MANDATORY — you cannot seek further upgradation through the Stray Vacancy Round once you join in Round 3.
Q. Will the security deposit be refunded if I do not get a seat?A. Yes. The security deposit is fully refundable if no seat is allotted to you across all rounds. It is also refundable in certain pre-joining exit scenarios. All candidates compete on pure NEET UG 2026 rank for Deemed University allotments.
Q. How many rounds of counselling does AACCC conduct?A. AACCC conducts four main rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 (Mop-Up), and the Stray Vacancy Round (SVR — conducted in two phases). If seats remain vacant after the SVR, a Special Spot Round may be organized, as was done in January 2026 for the 2025–26 session.
Q. How are Deemed University seats allotted in AACCC counselling?A. For Deemed Universities, candidates do NOT fill individual college choices on the AACCC portal. Instead, they express ‘willingness’ for Deemed Universities on the portal. Each Deemed University then conducts its own physical or online spot counselling.
