The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) is the official centralized counselling authority constituted under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Its primary mandate is to conduct fair, transparent, and merit-based online counselling for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate AYUSH courses across the country.
Established to bring uniformity and eliminate opacity from AYUSH admissions, AACCC functions as the single-window authority for All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government and government-aided colleges, 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and National Institutes. All processes — registration, choice filling, seat allotment, result declaration, and document guidelines — are managed through the official portal at aaccc.gov.in.
For the academic session 2026–27, AACCC counselling will be based on the NEET UG 2026 score (for UG admissions) and AIAPGET 2026 score (for PG admissions). NEET UG 2026 is officially scheduled on May 3, 2026, with results expected in June 2026 and AACCC counselling projected to commence from August 2026.
📌 Key Fact for 2026–27AACCC does NOT conduct the entrance exam. It uses NEET UG 2026 scores (UG) and AIAPGET 2026 scores (PG) for seat allotment. As of February 2026, the AACCC 2026–27 Information Bulletin has not yet been released. The schedule and fee structure presented in this guide are based on the confirmed NEET 2026 exam date (May 3, 2026), historical patterns from 2024–25 and 2025–26, and official AACCC process norms. Verify all details at aaccc.gov.in once the official bulletin is released.

8. How to Register for AACCC Counselling 2026–27
The entire AACCC counselling process is conducted in online mode through aaccc.gov.in. Follow the step-by-step process below carefully — errors at any stage can lead to rejection or forfeiture of fees.
Visit the Official Portal: Open aaccc.gov.in and click on ‘UG Counselling’ or ‘PG Counselling’ as applicable for the 2026–27 session.
New Registration: Click ‘New Registration’ and enter your NEET UG 2026 Roll Number, Application Number, and Date of Birth — exactly as registered with NTA.
Fill the Application Form: Enter personal, academic, and communication details. Use the same email ID and mobile number used during NEET UG 2026 registration to avoid OTP delivery issues.
Select Counselling Type: Choose whether you want to participate in Govt./CU/NI counselling, or Deemed University counselling, or both. Your registration fee varies accordingly.
Pay Registration Fee & Security Deposit: Complete the payment online (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking). Keep the transaction ID safe for future reference.
Choice Filling: Select your preferred AYUSH course (BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMS / B.Pharm) and arrange your preferred institutions in priority order. Fill as many choices as possible to maximize allotment chances. Note: Deemed University choices are NOT filled on the portal — only willingness is expressed.
Lock Your Choices: Review your entire choice list thoroughly and lock it before the deadline. If not locked manually by you, choices are auto-locked by the server at the closing time. After locking, no modifications are permitted.
Download Seat Allotment Letter: Check your allotment result after each round. If allotted a seat, download the Provisional Allotment Letter from the portal immediately.
Report to Allotted College: Report to the allotted institution within the stipulated joining deadline, carrying all original documents for verification. Late reporting results in cancellation of the seat.
⚠️ Pro Tip — Avoid Last-Minute RushServer load on AACCC portal increases significantly in the last 2–3 hours before any deadline (registration close, choice filling lock, fee payment). Always complete all steps at least 24–48 hours before the deadline to avoid technical issues costing you your seat.

📊 Cutoff Analysis & Strategy Tips for 2026BAMS has the highest competition and tightest closing ranks among all AYUSH courses consistently across years.A NEET UG 2026 score above 400 marks gives a reasonable chance at top government BAMS colleges through AIQ.For national institutes (NIA, AIIA, NIHA, NIH), a score of 500–550+ (AIR within 20,000) is generally required in Round 1.BHMS and BUMS have comparatively relaxed cutoffs — candidates with 300–380 marks often secure government seats in Round 3 / SVR.Round 3 (Mop-Up) and Stray Vacancy Rounds consistently show relaxed closing ranks — an important window for mid-range scorers.Deemed University seats often fill near the qualifying marks (144–160 range) in later rounds — a good option for low scorers.
12. Documents Required for AACCC Counselling 2026–27
Candidates must keep all documents ready — originals as well as self-attested photocopies — before reporting to the allotted college. Missing even one document can result in cancellation of the seat. Documents are required both at the time of online registration and physical verification at the college.
▸ 12.1 Mandatory Documents (All Candidates)
NEET UG 2026 Admit Card — issued by NTA (neet.nta.nic.in)
NEET UG 2026 Score Card / Rank Letter — issued by NTA after result declaration
Provisional Allotment Letter — generated from the AACCC portal for your allotted round
Class 10th Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet — as primary Date of Birth proof
Class 12th Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet — PCB subjects with minimum aggregate marks
Date of Birth Certificate — if Date of Birth is NOT mentioned in Class 10 certificate (Aadhaar Card / Birth Certificate)
Eight (8) Recent Passport-Size Photographs — same background and pose as used in the NEET UG 2026 application form
Valid Government-Issued Photo Identity Proof — Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License (any one)
Medical Fitness Certificate — issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner, as per the format provided in Annexure of the AACCC 2026–27 Information Bulletin
Transfer Certificate (TC) — from the last institution attended
Migration Certificate — from the last board/university (required by some colleges)
▸ 12.2 Additional Documents (Category-Specific)
OBC-NCL Certificate — must be based on the Central OBC List (NOT state OBC list), must explicitly mention ‘Non-Creamy Layer (NCL)’ status, and must be currently valid
SC / ST Caste Certificate — issued by the competent authority (District Magistrate / Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Tahsildar)
EWS Certificate — issued by a competent authority, must be issued after January 1, 2026 to be valid for 2026–27 admissions
PwBD Certificate — issued by a designated government hospital or district authority, must be in the prescribed format
Domicile / Nativity Certificate — required by some state-based institutions for their institutional quota
🚨 Critical Document WarningState OBC certificates are strictly NOT accepted for AACCC All India Quota seats. Only candidates listed in the Central OBC List of the Government of India with Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status are entitled to OBC reservation under AACCC.EWS certificates must be current (issued within the relevant financial year). An expired EWS certificate will result in the candidate being treated under the General/UR category.
13. Smart Choice Filling Strategy for AACCC 2026–27
Choice filling is the single most consequential step in the entire counselling process. A poorly planned choice list — even with a good rank — can result in a worse outcome than a well-planned list with a moderate rank. Follow these proven strategies to maximize your chances.
▸ Strategy 1 — Analyze Previous Year Closing Ranks Carefully
Download closing rank PDFs from the AACCC website for 2024–25 and 2025–26 before filling choices. Identify colleges where your rank falls between the Round 1 and Round 3 closing ranks — these are your safest and most realistic targets. Aim slightly above your comfort zone for Round 1 choices, while including safety options from Round 3 data.
▸ Strategy 2 — Fill the Maximum Number of Choices
Always fill the maximum number of choices permitted by the AACCC portal. The algorithm works on a top-down basis — it tries to give you the highest-priority choice where your rank falls within the closing range. More choices mean more fallbacks, especially important in Rounds 2 and 3 when preferred seats are already filled.
▸ Strategy 3 — Prioritize Government and National Institute Seats
Always list government colleges, national institutes, and central university seats before deemed university seats. Government institution fees are a fraction of deemed university fees, clinical training is typically superior, and a government BAMS/BHMS degree carries higher value for future PG admissions and employment.
▸ Strategy 4 — Be Strategic About Course vs. College Trade-offs
If you have a strong preference for a specific course (e.g., BAMS over BHMS), only fill choices for that course. However, if you are flexible, filling choices across multiple streams — BAMS, BHMS, BUMS — dramatically increases your allotment probability, especially in later rounds.
▸ Strategy 5 — Understand Upgradation Rules Before Each Round
Upgradation from Round 1 to Round 2 is freely allowed — you can leave a Round 1 seat for a better Round 2 allotment. However, accepting and joining a Round 3 seat is MANDATORY. You cannot seek upgradation through the Stray Vacancy Round if you joined in Round 3. Plan whether you want to participate for upgradation or join and exit the process at each round.
▸ Strategy 6 — Deemed University Strategy — Contact Directly
Expressing willingness for Deemed Universities on the AACCC portal does not guarantee a seat. Each Deemed University conducts its own spot counselling. Research the individual university’s fee structure, infrastructure, and NCISM recognition status before committing. Visit the university website directly and contact their admission office.
14. Reservation Policy — AACCC 2026–27
AACCC follows the Government of India’s reservation norms for All India Quota seats. The reservation is applied vertically (category-wise) for government/CU/NI institutions and horizontally (PwBD, across all categories). Deemed University seats are UNRESERVED.

📌 Deemed Universities — No ReservationAll UG and PG seats in Deemed Universities participating in AACCC counselling are UNRESERVED. The Central Government reservation policy (OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD) does NOT apply to Deemed University seats. All candidates compete purely on NEET UG 2026 rank for Deemed University seats.
15. AACCC PG Counselling 2026–27
AACCC also conducts centralized counselling for postgraduate AYUSH admissions — MD and MS programs — based on the AIAPGET 2026 (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test). The PG counselling manages 50% of All India Quota PG seats in government and government-aided AYUSH colleges, while the remaining 50% are managed by state authorities.
▸ 15.1 PG Eligibility for AACCC 2026–27
Qualified AIAPGET 2026 — conducted by NTA on behalf of the Ministry of Ayush.
Valid BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMS degree from an NCISM or NCH recognized institution.
Completion of 12-month Compulsory Rotatory Internship before the counselling registration date.
Valid medical council registration with NCISM, NCH, or a recognized State Medical Council.
Candidates who already hold an MD/MS in AYUSH are generally NOT eligible for a second PG admission through the general AIQ quota.
Apart from AACCC, candidates must also participate in their respective state AYUSH counselling for the 85% state quota UG seats and 50% state quota PG seats. Below is an overview of major state counselling authorities.

📌 State Counselling TipCandidates should register for BOTH AACCC (AIQ) counselling AND their state counselling simultaneously — the two processes are independent and running in parallel does NOT affect your eligibility for either. If you are allotted a seat in AACCC (AIQ) and wish to join a state counselling allotment, you must formally exit AACCC counselling by resigning before the applicable deadline to avoid security deposit forfeiture.
17. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q. Is NEET UG 2026 mandatory to apply for AACCC AYUSH Counselling 2026–27?A. Yes, absolutely. Qualifying NEET UG 2026 conducted by NTA is mandatory for admission to all undergraduate AYUSH courses — BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, and B.Pharm (Ayurveda) — through AACCC. No alternative entrance exam is accepted.
Q. When is NEET UG 2026? When will AACCC 2026 counselling start?A. NEET UG 2026 is officially scheduled on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM in offline / pen-paper mode. Results are expected in June 2026. AACCC 2026–27 counselling is projected to begin in August 2026, approximately 6–8 weeks after NEET UG 2026 results are declared. The exact dates will be published by AACCC on aaccc.gov.in.
Q. Can I participate in both AACCC counselling and state AYUSH counselling?A. Yes. AACCC manages 15% AIQ seats while state authorities manage 85% state quota seats — they are completely independent processes. Registering for both simultaneously is allowed, legal, and strongly recommended to maximize your chances of getting a government AYUSH seat.
Q. What is the minimum NEET UG 2026 score required to participate in AACCC counselling?A. The minimum qualifying score is the 50th percentile for General/EWS candidates (approximately 144 marks based on 2025 pattern) and the 40th percentile for OBC/SC/ST candidates (approximately 113 marks). Scoring above the qualifying cutoff makes you eligible to participate — but actual allotment depends on your rank versus available seats.
Q. What NEET score is needed for a government BAMS seat through AACCC?A. Based on 2024–25 and 2025–26 data, a NEET score above 400 marks (AIR within approximately 2,00,000) gives a reasonable chance at a government BAMS seat through AIQ in Round 3 / SVR. For top national institutes like NIA Jaipur, AIIA Delhi, or ITRA Jamnagar, a score of 500–560+ (AIR within 18,000–25,000) is typically required in Round 1.
Q. Is upgradation allowed in AACCC counselling?A. Yes. Upgradation is allowed from Round 1 to Round 2 — you can leave a Round 1 allotment in favor of a better Round 2 seat. However, joining a seat in Round 3 (Mop-Up) is MANDATORY — you cannot seek further upgradation through the Stray Vacancy Round once you join in Round 3.
Q. Will the security deposit be refunded if I do not get a seat?A. Yes. The security deposit is fully refundable if no seat is allotted to you across all rounds. It is also refundable in certain pre-joining exit scenarios. However, it is forfeited if you join a college and resign after Round 2, fail to report in Round 3 after allotment, or do not report within the joining deadline after any round allotment.
Q. Can J&K domicile candidates apply for AACCC AIQ seats?A. No. Candidates who are permanent domicile holders or residents of Jammu & Kashmir are NOT eligible for AACCC All India Quota counselling. They must participate through the J&K state AYUSH counselling authority for state quota seats.
Q. Is OBC reservation available for Deemed University seats in AACCC?A. No. All UG and PG seats in Deemed Universities participating in AACCC are UNRESERVED. The Central Government reservation policy — including OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD reservation — does NOT apply to Deemed University seats. All candidates compete on pure NEET UG 2026 rank for Deemed University allotments.
Q. How many rounds of counselling does AACCC conduct?A. AACCC conducts four main rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 (Mop-Up), and the Stray Vacancy Round (SVR — conducted in two phases). If seats remain vacant after the SVR, a Special Spot Round may be organized, as was done in January 2026 for the 2025–26 session.
Q. How are Deemed University seats allotted in AACCC counselling?A. For Deemed Universities, candidates do NOT fill individual college choices on the AACCC portal. Instead, they express ‘willingness’ for Deemed Universities on the portal. Each Deemed University then conducts its own physical or online spot counselling. Candidates must contact the Deemed University directly and follow their individual process. Refer to the AACCC Information Bulletin 2026–27 (when released) for university-specific details.
Q. What happens if I miss the joining deadline after seat allotment?A. If you fail to report to the allotted college within the stipulated joining deadline for any round, your seat allotment stands cancelled and the security deposit is forfeited. There is generally no grace period. Always report on time.
